Black and White Sunday No.23

Adventures in the fog !

Hi pals! Last week I had my first experience of fog. Dad took me to the park early and here's what happened :

Where has everyone gone? The park is empty!

I search long and hard, leaving no corner unturned...

Still hopeful..

Maybe if I sit here look pretty my friends will find me!

Hallelujah! Finally a big friend turns up...

And brings along all his pals!!

I find my sausage friend Murphy and trot off happily!!!
Hehe !! I had such fun in the park in the end - I just had to be patient as all good things to come to those that wait :)

A string of sausages

Hi pals, I hope you have had a good week and are getting in the christmas spirit ! It's my first christmas and I'm enjoying it all very much so far - today was fun as Mummy put up the tree and I tried to help by   stealing all the decorations and chewing them -lots more adventures there in the next few weeks I think!
I had a super time in the park a few days ago, I was just strolling along showing off my new coat when suddenly I was surrounded by a circle of sausage dogs! There were 2 brothers wearing matching jumpers and a super handsome black and tan sausage called Monty. We had so much fun sniffing and snuffling - thought you would like the see the pics :)

A visit to meet some little people !

Hi pals ! Once again apologies for my absence here on my blog. I have been having all sorts of wonderful adventures but I've been so busy I haven't had time to update you all here! I promise in a few weeks ( when Mum has finished teaching for the term) that I will sit down and fill you all in on my exploits! In the meantime here are some pics of me and some people my own size. Mummy and I visited St. Albans this week to see Mummy's old friend - she seems to have duplicated herself by two and now there are two more mini people to kiss and lick! We had such fun !! lots of kisses and cuddles :)

Mid century modern dog

Hi pals! Last weekend the folks and I visited the mid century modern show at Haggerston school in Hackney http://modernshows.com/the-shows/haggerston-oct-2013/. As Mum & Dad love this furniture and are liable to spend too much money I thought it wise to accompany them to ensure they spent more time talking about me to the store holders rather than parting with their dosh! We met the lovely Leanne and Justin from Pink Flamingos http://www.pink-flamingos.co.uk/furniture.htm  who not only have some very desirable Eames chairs but also 2 dachshunds called Dee Dee and Bodie - really hope to meet them one day! We had such a super time and luckily Mum left with just a rye pottery mug and not the Ercol table she had her eye on - got to make sure she saves her pennies for Christmas treats for me ;)
ps- sorry about the quality of these pics - Mum was way too focused on the furniture than me !

An overdue catch up of last month !

Hi pals - apologies once again for not posting for a while. It's the new term and the folks have been really busy getting back into teaching mode. I've been very helpful giving them lots of love and kisses and ensuring they get out for walks in the fresh air! It's been a busy few months for me too - I've had my little lady op - which I recovered very well from - I was back to normal within a few days and you wouldn't have known I've had anything done!

Snoozing with Daddy after my op
The next day - feeling perky!

The weekend after my operation we went on a wonderful day trip to Oxfordshire. Mummy is working on a new set of linocuts based on carvings found in Iffley Church just outside of Oxford. It was a beautiful church and I enjoyed looking at all the scary creatures!

Things got even more exciting the weekend after that when I visited the Grandfolks and my bestest ever friend Coco. We hadn't seen each other for over a month so had lots to catch up on!

And this weekend I spent most of the time just basking in the Autumn sun! I hear the weather is going to change so the folks have bought me a jumper - I'm not that keen but they keep putting the damn thing on so I guess I'm going to have to get used to it :)

That's all for now pals ! I will be back next week with more adventures for you :)

Remembering the Summer!

Celebrating the last days of summer in the Kent countryside!

Hi Pals, goodness hasn't the weather changed? I'm soooo chilly and demanding that the folks buy me some winter gear to stop me from my shivers - Mum won't be too hard to convince as she loves shopping :) Anyhow, to keep the spirit of summer alive for a while longer I thought I would share some pictures of our trip to Shoreham in Kent a few weeks back. The folks wanted to visit as an artist from long ago - Samuel Palmer used to live there. It was a magical day - the village is so pretty with a lovely pub, a couple of shops and a very unusual air force museum where Daddy had the biggest bacon sandwich ever ( I helped of course :) So visit if you have the chance - it's only 1/2 hour from Victoria on the train.

My holiday in North Norfolk - Part 3 'Adventures on a steam train!'

Hi Pals - as promised here is the final instalment of my wonderful holiday in North Norfolk - it seems like such a long time ago now though - it's good to relive and share the memories with you on the blog!
Ever since I was a wee pup the folks have taken me on train journeys - and they promised me that on our holiday we could go on a proper old fashioned one with steam and everything. So one day we arrived at Weybourne where they run the poppy line http://www.poppyline.co.uk . Mummy was so excited by the toilets as she said it was like going back in time ! The train itself was so old fashioned, it had wooden seats and compartments - my name sake Miss Marple would have felt very at home for sure :) We had a wonderful time chuffing our way through the Norfolk countryside, it is such civilised way to travel - I think it's time to re-introduce steam trains in London, maybe it would make the commuters smile a bit more!!
